Simple swaps to amazing health!


I like to recommend to anyone wanting to make a health overhaul to start slowly. Don’t get rid of every single vice. Allow yourself to adjust slowly. Know what type of healthy foods you enjoy and buy them regularly. Try new things and play with recipes. It doesn’t have to be torture, and once you get into the habit you will be so proud of your accomplishments! So start today on your healthy swap at the store and see how much better you can feel!



Lucky shake of the week!


1 cup coconut water
1/2 green apple
1 celery stalk
1 cup spinach
1 banana
A few mint leaves

My soap box. Artificial Sweeteners and counting calories… All in one!


This sings to me. Like SCREAMS in my ear… If I have a soapbox, this is it. I see so many people counting calories and disregarding ingredients. It drives me batty!!! Please… Friends. Listen to what I am saying!!! Listen to your body. Eat whole, real foods. Food that have artificial anything in them will not satisfy your body for what it is really craving. You are just appeasing your hunger temporarily with chemicals your loving body doesn’t even know what to do with! It negates the fact that you are even counting calories. So just eat real food. Don’t count anything. Be present when you eat. Pay attention to how you feel and when you feel satisfied… STOP!! If you are hungry an hour later, eat again. Think of your beautiful body as the temple it is. It will take care of you and it will tell you what it needs. Listen. Pay attention. Respect the beauty of health and natural ingredients. Always.

We are done with the skinny look. It’s time to build a Action Hero body! Let’s do this ladies and gents! Load up those weights. Load up that protein. Drink your water. Enjoy your day. Smile more often. Believe that you are making a change in the world. Wear a cape. Every. Day.

Protein in the AM. Your best bet…


This is very, very important information. Like, it could change your life. If you start your day with a hefty dose of protein it is PROVEN you will eat less throughout the day. So, my challenge for you is this.

Start your day with 2 eggs scrambled, 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/2 avocado and top it off with salsa. Make your next meal/snack a protein shake loaded with fruits and veggies that has 20 grams of protein in it. Eat that when you feel hungry, not on a set time frame. You can then plan on a small snack after that with protein and a veggie, and I guarantee you will not be ravenously hungry for dinner. Right there… A decrease in caloric intake and a significant amount of weight lost in 4 weeks. Dare to embark on my challenge? Do. It.
